The story begins with Anna Benitah, my Moroccan maternal grandmother. A professional seamstress, she shared with me the taste for handmade clothing with an impeccable cut. As a child, I watched her for hours drawing patterns, sewing, ironing, choosing the right button or the right braid. She always had attention to detail. She is the one who today gives me the desire to create clothes, which is why the name of the brand was created in her homage. Raised in a traditional and religious family, she decided to emancipate herself through sewing, always drawing inspiration from Western fashion.
MARRIAGE OF INVENTIVITY AND ELEGANCE
Nitah places particular emphasis on developing cuts with impeccable drape, providing structure and allure. We also collaborate with local artisans, both in Morocco and in France, to bring a touch of inventiveness and uniqueness. It is the mixture of this requirement and this sensoriality which makes the “.nitah touch”
ODE TO QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
We are sensitive to the notion of “care”, towards people like clothes, to give value to those and what
surround us. Nitah takes care of her creations, from design to fitting, to design favorite pieces, which will accompany the woman who wears them for a long time.
ANTHEM TO GENTLENESS AND GENEROSITY
We believe in the power of women, in their ability to move the lines and to nourish themselves with sunlight to bring more ecology, generosity and gentleness. Nitah has collaborated with associations and plans to develop her collaborations with cooperatives of
women in Morocco.
"When I arrive in Morocco, I look for the smallest detail that can connect me to my childhood memories. The perfume of my uncles, the tank tops worn under fitted shirts by men, the traditional fabrics, the braids of my grandmother. mother I then discovered Moroccan craftsmanship, I was amazed by the handmade know-howespecially in textile work (carpets, weaving, leather work); It was at this precise moment that the inspiration to create fashion that resembles me came to me.
Very attached to my roots: this double identity, this duality, is the starting point for the creation of Nitah. I then created a first collection with fluid, refined cuts, reflecting French elegance with sabra sfifa details, as well as belts at the waist reminiscent of the traditional caftan.
It is a link between Morocco and France, expressing the richness of a multiple identity, thus linking tradition and modernity, like a thread stretched between two eras.
By settling in the Lille region, I am giving Nitah a new lease of life. A nod to my hexagonal roots and my love for craftsmanship; I decided to launch a series of knitted tops, knitted by hand in a social and supportive approach.
I therefore offer a so-called “main” collection focused on “perfect” cuts emphasizing the waist and highlighting the female body; and a so-called “knit” collection in capsule form offering tops and sweaters that can be easily combined.”
